Step Afrika!, the first professional company in the world dedicated to the tradition of stepping, will perform.Founded in 1994, Step Afrika! is celebrated worldwide for its efforts to promote an appreciation for stepping and the dance tradition’s use as an educational tool for young people. The company is Washington, DC’s first and only cultural ambassador representing the city and nation at events around the world.Tickets are free for students and $10 for non-students.Event tickets are available at the Tate Student Center Cashier Window, open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. A valid UGACard is required for acquisition of free student tickets.Part of UGA's Week of Soul.News release: http://news.uga.edu/releases/article/maya-angelou-week-of-soul-011413/
