Pay no attention to what my partners say about me. I'm older and wiser and they can all suck eggs.

Truth is, I've been at this a while. I started working on weekends at a station in my hometown of Tifton while in high school. A full-time job found me before I finished high school, and I started doing a morning show while in college. At that point, I was done with college. A morning show gig was SO much better than an education!

Yes, I play as much golf as I portray on the air. Good, I am not, but in my world golf is about fellowship and sharing a few yucks and trading barbs with friends I love and love to be with.

I'd regale you with fun stories about other things I do, but I'm a boring guy. A cold beverage and a hot grill and life is pretty good.

I'm married to Beverly Sparks, associate dean at UGA's College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences but in my mind, I'm wa-a-a-a-a-a-y smarter than she is.
