Jamie Hood surrendered to police Friday night live on Atlanta television. Hood is accused of murdering Senior Police Officer Elmer Buddy Christian earlier this week off Sycamore Street in West Athens. Tips lead investigators to the area of US 441 and Boley Drive at the Creekstone Apartment Complex on Friday afternoon. Reports said that Hood had taken as many as 9 hostages. After pleas from the GBI and Athens-Clarke County Police, Hood negotiated to surrender live on television, which he did around 11:20pm.
