Attractions Lyndon House Arts Center 28,000 square foot arts center has five spacious art galleries displaying works of art by local and state artists, a children's wing, artists' workshops and a gift shop. Free. Noon - 9 PM Tues. and Thurs., 9 AM - 5 PM Wed., Fri., and Sat. Ware-Lyndon House Listed in the National Register of Historic Places and one of the few antebellum homes with Italianate elements remaining in the Athens area (1856). Athens' first city recreation center has been completely restored as a house museum and is the centerpiece of the Lyndon House Arts Center. Free. Noon - 9 PM Tues. and Thurs.; 9 AM - 5 Pm Wed., Fri., and Sat.
